How Windows 10 is empowering small businesses to… *yawning*

Seeing Microsoft rolling out new Windows 10 ads is not at all surprising given that the company wants to make the new operating system more successful, so new commercials are published online every once in a while to highlight some of its features.

The latest Windows 10 ad, however, is supposed to show how Windows 10 is helping a small business grow, putting the focus on features such as touch support and Windows Hello for quick and secure authentication.

We won’t say that this ad is boring, but it’s really boring, and if you think that watching the 30-second version is a challenge, you should try surviving the 2-minute version that’s exclusively available online - the short version is most likely supposed to be aired on TV as well.

This ad is directly aimed at businesses, as Microsoft already ended the free upgrade promo for consumers on July 29, so upgrading enterprises has become a priority, especially because many of them are projected to end the piloting stage of the new OS by December this year.

Other than that, Microsoft itself has admitted that it won’t be able to bring Windows 10 on 1 billion devices by FY2018 as originally planned, so it’ll take a little bit longer for this. How long is yet to be determined, but ads like this are very likely to continue rolling out in the coming months.
