The Windows 10 Creators Update is now available worldwide, and while the release via Windows Update is taking place in stages, the manual upgrade option allows users to install the new OS version right now without waiting anymore.

To make the whole thing easier, Microsoft released a page dedicated to upgrading to Windows 10 Creators Update, together with a new “Update now” button that lets users start the move to the new update.

While beginners might find this new method pretty useful, experienced users will certainly consider it redundant, as all it does is to download the Windows 10 Update Assistant and then provide a wizard to prepare the upgrade to the Creators Update. So although it was designed to be a more seamless upgrade system, user interaction is still needed.

This way of installing the Creators Update is available since April 5 when the OS was launched as a manual upgrade, but now Microsoft is trying to do the whole thing smoother and is offering an “Update now” button to ease the transition from the Anniversary Update.

As far as the Windows Update rollout is concerned, it takes place in stages and there’s no information as to when you could get it on your computer. Microsoft explains that the process could take up to several months, as it’s working with partners on fixing problems and addressing compatibility issues that might be experienced during or after the upgrade.
