Office for Windows 95 runs flawlessly on the new OS

Just like in Windows 8, Microsoft paid particular attention to app compatibility in Windows 10, so many of the programs that are currently out there should work like a charm on the new operating system.

Microsoft itself is trying to detect app compatibility issues and fix them before releasing Windows 10 to your computer, but in a video that was posted on YouTube, it's pretty clear that even the oldest software around should be running smoothly after the upgrade.

YouTuber Jakub Filo installed Microsoft Office 95, which was originally designed to be used on Windows 95, on Windows 10, and as you can see in the video embedded below, this old productivity suite worked pretty flawlessly despite being nearly two decades old.

Shocking? Not at all. Impressive? Definitely, especially because Microsoft has a put a lot of new tech in Windows 10, and older software is becoming less likely to run on the operating system, all the more so when talking about applications that were developed 20 years ago.

The demo you see here was made on Windows 10 preview, so imagine that everything should be even better in the final version of the operating system, which most of us are already running right now.

But if you have any doubts that this video is real, you can try installing your own old apps on Windows 10 and see how it goes.
