There’s a new beta version of WhatsApp for Windows Phone available for download, and it appears that it brings quite a few changes to users who have access to this private program.

A report by aggiornamentilumia.it reveals that WhatsApp beta for Windows Phone comes with a new call icon, which doesn’t boast significant changes, but could signal a broader makeover that the team behind the app might be planning for future updates.

Furthermore, there are options to listen to voice notes in call mode, as well as various fixes that are supposed to make the application a little bit faster and run more smoothly no matter the device.

The latest update for WhatsApp for Windows Phone has landed recently with major improvements, including document sharing support, UI restyling, and a few more changes, so the team working on the app seems very committed to making it even better in future versions.

This is actually quite good news not only for WhatsApp users but also for the future of the platform, as Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile need loyal developers that can continue improving their apps on a regular basis. It’s a known thing that Windows phones have an app problem, so more devs should follow WhatsApp’s example, there’s no doubt about it.

In the meantime, everyone with access to the private WhatsApp beta testing program should get this new version as soon as possible.
