A new version of the transformation pack is available

OS transformation packs have been around for a while and believe it or not, they’re still successful, especially because they give everyone a chance to make their desktops borrow the interface of newer operating systems without actually upgrading PCs.

This is the case of Windows 10 too, as Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users who don’t want to install the new operating system can get its looks and features without a very easy to set up and install pack.

The so-called Windows 10 UX Pack does exactly what its name suggests: it makes the desktop of Windows 7 and 8.1 PCs look like the one in Windows 10, while also bringing some of the features that are exclusively available in this OS version.

Version 6.0 brings some improvements as well, including wallpapers that were introduced in Threshold 2 update, but also new icons and revised themes that should lead to generally improved experience after installing the pack.

And yet, don’t expect this to make your old PC look exactly like Windows 10. Some of the apps available in the pack do not perfectly replicate the Windows 10 behavior, like in the case of the multiple desktops app, so there’s no better way to experience Windows 10 than to actually install it.

But if you’re OK with it, just create a backup to be on safe side in case something bad happens and download Windows 10 UX Pack to give it a try.
