For some reason, Solitaire is once again the new black at Microsoft and everyone seems to be playing it these days, especially thanks to the contest that Redmond announced last month.

But this time, Microsoft released an update for Solitaire Collection on Windows 8.1 that provides you with access to the so-called 25th Anniversary Star Club Collection, a new pack of challenges that were used in the quarterfinals, semifinals and the finals of the internal tournament.

And if you are a Solitaire guru, complete all these challenges, and live in the United States, you can win one of the 250 gift codes worth $25 (20 Euro) that can be used in the Windows 8.1 or Windows Store.

“Once you have completed all the challenges, take a selfie (a picture with your camera or phone) of the screen showing crowns on all 3 packs (Qualifiers, Semifinals, and Finals) and a piece of paper where you’ve hand-written the current date and your Xbox Gamertag. Then post the selfie as a comment on the Microsoft Solitaire Collection’s Facebook page,” Microsoft explains.

So basically, all you need to do is to update Solitaire Collection to the latest version, start playing, and prove that you deserve the prize. The contest runs through July 22, but the faster you complete all challenges, the bigger the chances to get a gift code.
