Alfa Autorun Killer

Alfa Autorun Killer is a security tool designed to block AutoRun infections that usually infect USB removable devices. It comes packed with additional modules for managing processes, services and startup entries, featuring intuitive options for all types of users.

Aiming to disable all the threats that attempt to spread through USB drives, regardless if we're talking about viruses, worms or spyware, Alfa Autorun Killer comes with a powerful tool to search and remove existing infections, as well as dedicated utilities to provide permanent protection.

Still, although you may be tricked into believing that Alfa Autorun Killer provides real-time protection, the application actually prevents from launching the autorun.inf, which means this type of viruses cannot affect your computer anymore. In other words, it is not an alternative to antivirus software.

Besides the two “Scan for Autorun” and “Protection Center” sections, the application also offers a so-called “Process Manager” that does basically the same thing as the Windows “Task Manager.” It provides full control over the running processes, allowing you to halt one or multiple instances.

Last but not least, the “Services Manager” offers an overview of the system services, while the “Startup Manager” allows you to control the apps that run at Windows boot.

The application can be useful but multiple improvements are absolutely mandatory. A new and better organized interface is among the things to be revised, along with a detailed help manual to provide assistance to all the users. Unfortunately, Alfa Autorun Killer is no longer in development, which means that it will not receive any further updates.
