XN Resource Editor

XN Resource Editor is a simple-to-use program that allows you to fully explore PE modules and edit resources. It provides support for files with the EXE, DLL, BPL, SCR, CPL and OCX formats, Compiled Resource files (RES, DCR), and Resource Source items (RC).

The installation operation is rapid and does not require special attention from the user. Once it finishes, you can check out the intuitive and familiar layout included in XN Resource Editor's interface.

You can use the file browser to locate a file and open its resources, along with a folder structure to explore each of the found items. For instance, it is possible to edit icon pictures and properties (e.g. width, height, pixel format) and use drawing tools, as well as modify product information concerning the company and product name, file and product version, internal name, and original filename.

XN Resource Editor lets you save changes to file, print resource contents, undo and redo your actions, import resources (image, RC data, user) or clone them, grab bitmaps, as well as add and modify strings, among others.

The application is pretty light on the system resources, using a minimal quantity of CPU and RAM. It has a good response time and works smoothly, without casing Windows to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. XN Resource Editor should please all users.
