    1st Email Anti-Virus description

1st Email Anti-Virus is a security program that protects from all email threats

1st Email Anti-Virus is the only security program that protects from all kinds of email threats.

Generic antivirus programs and setting the most secure options in email client software can't provide the same level of protection as 1EAV does.

It copes with iframe / MIME header / CLSID extension attack, script attacks, ActiveX / Java / Flash attacks, "web bugs", fragmented message attack, etc. The program is compatible with any POP3 email client, such as MS Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, etc.

Designed for discreet users who appreciate data integrity and privacy, 1st Email Anti-Virus is a must have for the protection from internet mail threats.

Here are some key features of "1st Email AntiVirus":

    · Protects from any known attacks on HTML or MIME emails used by viruses (such as Klez or Nimda) to spread themselves, preventing them from being executed and re-distributed automatically. Those attacks include, but not limited to: Iframe attacks (This is the mostly dangerous one, used, for instance, by Klez), Script attacks (JavaScript, VBScript, etc.), Embedded objects and plug-ins (ActiveX, Java, Flash attacks)
    · Protects user privacy with the ability to remove inline downloads (also known as "web bugs").
    · Keeps the readability of the message and retains all information sent.
    · Retrieves and handles oversize messages without blocking, thus protecting from denial-of-service attacks (such as mail bombing).
    · Typically decreases the size of the message, thus minimizing the storage requirements.
    · Works transparently with any POP3 compatible email program, such as MS Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, Netscape, etc. Supports several email clients and accounts simultaneously.
    · Has Account Wizard for MS Outlook and Outlook Express. It allows automatic setup if you use these email clients.
    · Has an ability to enforce plain text, and thus it is suitable for those who use old plain text email software or those who dislike HTML email.
    · Has full logging capabilities: can save original messages and log protocol commands.
    · Compatible with signed or encrypted messages (S/MIME).

    What's New in This Release:

    · Changed: setup procedure is more simple now. In most cases 1EAV configures automatically and everything that user needs to do is to set up an email client.
    · Changed: main user interface screen. Less buttons - less confusing. Added the program status indication and the stats summary.
    · Changed: the icon in the system notification area (tray) is always on. It also has different states to signal activity or problems.
    · Added: program now supports simplified account resolution, when the client uses username@host[:port] as a username.
    · Changed: evaluation. You can evaluate all features of the program without limitations during 30 days.
    · Fixed: multipart content-type handling when no boundary is provided. This caused crashes of earlier versions of 1EAV under some rare circumstances.
    · Fixed: relaying of "TOP X 0" command. The message passed as a response to this command (only headers) is not handled by 1EAV now.
    · Fixed: resource consumption in Win98. Now it takes less CPU time.
    · Changed: zlib DLL is now zlib1.dll, which is in accordance with ZLIB official recommendations. In the case of the bugs found in ZLIB you can use the latest versions of this DLL that could be downloaded from ZLIB web site.
    · Changed: compiled with the latest version of ZZEE libraries.
    · Other minor fixes and changes are made.

    Limitations:

    · 30 days trial

Softpedia guarantees that 1st Email Anti-Virus 4.0 is 100% CLEAN, which means it does not contain any form of malware, including spyware, viruses, trojans and backdoors. [read more >]
