Quick 3D Cover 2.0.1
Professional boxshots, book covers, CDs, DVDs and more. Quick and easy.
The layout of the interface may appear cluttered, but Quick 3D Cover is actually quite simple to work with, once you make all the necessary adjustments to your project.
So, you can pick a template from the gallery, together with pictures or colors for all the faces of the box. It is possible to set output image dimensions, and to flip the background or to make it transparent.
But you may also adjust the sharpness, shades, highlights, reflections, opacity, length, brightness, blur reflections and shadows. The project can be saved to file for further evaluation. Plus, you can restore all numerical parameters to their default values.
Saving a picture to the JPEG, PNG, GIF or BMP format brings to the spotlight several configuration settings, depending on the file type, such as transparency, quality, dither, resolution and zooming level. Quick 3D Cover has a batch mode available, thus letting you process multiple templates simultaneously. Additionally, you can use a designing tool to quickly input your preferences to the box sides (including layers).
The tool runs on a moderate quantity of CPU and system memory, has a good response time to key strokes and mouse commands, and contains a user manual. It was not problematic during our evaluation, such as making the operating system freeze, crash or display error notifications. The rich-featured tool provides an easy way to design CD and DVD covers. On the downside, Quick 3D Cover has not been updated for a while.
