Thumbs is a program to generate thumbnails for the purpose of making a CD of images to send to a friend or relative and allow them to view the images without having any special software.

It's better than other programs because it generates "midsize" pages. This means when you click on a thumbnail you get an image that you can actually view on your screen instead of some large image which you have to scroll around.

Even if you own a thumbnail viewer this program is useful for archiving your images. Run it, put the result on a CD and then no matter where you pop in your CD you'll be able to view all your images with no extra software.

Here are some key features of "Thumbs":

· Thumbs can generate an optional slideshow (registered version only) for all images
· Thumbs can include thumbnails for MPG video files
· Thumbs can be run again on the same folders of images and it will "do the right thing". It will not generated thumbnails for its thumbnails.
· Thumbs includes the files to make your CD autorun in Windows so your index page will show up automatically when the CD is inserted into a Windows based machine.
