As compared to the other all-in-one burning products out there, Audio CD Maker is solely focused on audio CDs, so it doesn’t burn data discs or DVDs.
Instead, it tries to offers users a quick and simple way to create an audio CD, coming with support for MP3, WAV, WMA and OGG formats.
The program’s GUI has the task of making everything as easy to use as possible and it really manages to serve its purpose.
The well-organized layout allows users to select the burner and the write speed, pick files to be burned to disc and track the overall progress of the burning job from just a single window.
Additionally, Audio CD Maker can erase rewritable discs, enable test mode and finalize discs, with no other configuration screen included in the app.
The burning engine is simple yet effective, without any significant computer slowdown experienced during our testing. While Audio CD Maker works smoothly on both Windows XP and Windows Vista, it fails to launch on Windows 7, so it cannot be used on this platform.
