Free ISO Grabber is a straightforward piece of kit that you can use to create ISO images from CD or DVD discs. It can be seamlessly handled, even by less skilled users.

The interface of the application is made from a wizard-like layout, where you can get started by selecting the SCSI transport that you want to use for device access - SPTI (SCSI Pass Through Interface) or ASPI (Advanced SCSI Programming Interface).

Once you select the target CD or DVD device from the list, you can establish the save directory for the grabbed files, check the tracks you want to grab (one, multiple, or all of them), as well as refresh the tracklist if necessary.

Free ISO Grabber shows all activity in the primary panel and lets you save it to a log file with the TXT format, for further scrutiny. There are no other notable options available through this program.

It uses a surprisingly low quantity of CPU and RAM to carry out a task in no time. It is very responsive to commands and works smoothly, without causing the OS to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. We have not encountered any issues in our evaluation. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, less experienced users can quickly learn how to deal with Free ISO Grabber.
