One of the simplest pleasures of modern life is to get home after a hard day's work, take a bath, and enjoy a good movie.

Unfortunately, due to technical problems, a good movie may not be so enjoyable. For example, you could be annoyed by prohibition messages, unnecessary subtitles, intro titles on the menu screen, and other unwanted features. So, you need a solution.

The perfect tool to manipulate movies on disc would have to let you remove copy protection, clone, and burn discs.

Alcoholer is an application that is actually a package containing ClonyXXL, Alcohol 120%, CloneCD, and BlindWrite – all in one!

First thing's first: there is no help file that can explain every feature and option, so if you're not very familiarized with the technical terms, you will have some problems understanding everything.

In the user interface there are four tabs: Alcohol 120%, CloneCD, BlindWrite, and GameJack.

In each tab you select the profile (data CD, audio CD, DVD, or others), read settings, and write settings. You can adjust maximum reading and writing speed, RAW mode, and others.

In matter of CPU and memory resources, Alcoholer requires a minimum when no tasks are active, and fair when they are.

We couldn't find any bugs or errors, but if Alcoholer had a help file included, it would have been perfect. On the other hand... it's free, so enjoy it!
