CD Czar will connect to the web Freedb collection for automatically enter information about your current playing audio CD, including album, artist, genre, and tracks.

Just put the CD in the drive and click Add CD to get all that info without typing. With CD Czar you can add 100 discs in one hour!

· Connects to the internet Freedb database (no sign-ups, no hassles) to automatically enter information about the CD currently in your CD-ROM drive, including album, artist, genre, and tracks. Just put the CD in the drive and click Add CD to get all that info without typing, you could enter 100 discs per hour!
· Organizes and fully integrates your entire music collection, including vinyl, CD-R, MP3 or other audio files etc. Quickly browse, order and search artists, albums, tracks (songs) and more! Use filters to display only selected albums (for example, one or more genre and/or artist).
· Albums that are not in Freedb's database (or are audio files, or on cassette or other format that can't be read by the CD-ROM drive), can probably still be entered without typing in the tracks by using the other online music databases to which CD Czar also links. CD Czar can even use tracks lists from fan or company websites. You can import a Winamp or Yahoo! Music Engine playlist into CD Czar even if it doesn't correspond to any physical album. And Import entries from the cdplayer.ini file that the Windows CD player and others use our free ini2czar utility. With these features, CD Czar succeeds when all others fail! You could use CD Czar to easily manage, for example, a vinyl LP collection or MP3 files on your hard drive.
· Keeps track of your music mixes. This unique feature stores your title for the media label and the starting location/time (or the physical location of the media could be stored instead)..
· See how much time has already been used up on rewritable media such as CD-RW.
· You can enter valuation (purchase price and current value) for your albums, and see the total valuation of your collection in a Report.
· One Stop Artist Search will show all albums for any particular artist, whether solo album or multi-artist compilation. No longer will you have to search by both artist and track to find a performer! Of course, you can also search by Album, Track, Media Label/Directory/Location , or Notes. Easily find all the albums you have of a particular artist, all the songs you have by a particular artist in alphabetical order, and all the versions you have of a song. Search can be on a word, phrase, or partial word.
· Albums can be viewed in order of any of the fields in the Album grid by simply clicking on that field's header. This includes the Label/Directory/Location field so that you can see which albums & tracks you have included on your CD-R, Minidisc etc., or as audio files on your hard drive. The current sort order's header is always highlighted.
· Easily set filter to view only albums of one genre (e.g. classical) or by any other criteria. A drop-down history list of filter expressions means you don't have to retype expressions entered previously.
· You can switch from the opening Albums View (browse collection) to a Detail View (all the information about 1 album) or to a Tracks View (one track per row).
· Tracks View will show all the versions you have of any song, and if you click on the Artist column header you will see all the songs by that artist in alphabetical order. There are Report and Export options similar to those in the Report Writer, and you can select rows for output by setting a filter and/or "cherry-picking" even non-contiguous rows (by holding down the ctrl key while clicking with your mouse). These features make the Tracks View the favorite of DJs and radio station program managers for producing playlists and rotation lists, and there is even an option to create a file to upload to sites like DJ Intelligence!
· In addition to the Quick Search on the opening window, CD Czar has a flexible integrated Report Writer that can send a report to screen, printer, or disk file. It can also generate a Webpage to display your collection to your friends, or export to comma separated values (CSV) or XML files to then import into a spreadsheet, etc. The Report Writer can also generate an Artist List that will show all the artists in your collection whether on solo album or compilation, one artist to a line (select Artist as the only output field to get this report). And the Report Writer can generate a Media List that will show the tracks and time used on your Music Mixes. The Tracks View described above also has reporting based on tracks, including creating a music file for DJs to upload.
· Includes Notes (memo) field which can contain comments, info or links of any length, such as record label, composer, producer, lyrics etc.
· Year & specific Genre (not just the pre-defined list) can be used and retrieved from the online database. Media format can be selected and displayed for other than CD.
· Playing time for your playlist as well as for all tracks is computed.
· Plays your easily created Playlist, or plays starting with any track. Can also seamlessly play albums for which you have only MP3 or other audio files.
· Can go to a website about the current album or artist.
· Displays album cover art, and can be easily configured to do this automatically while playing the album.
· Finds Lyrics for the songs in an album with an option to store them in your Collection.
