What's the point in having your favorite video clips or movies on your computer, if you can't burn them onto a DVD? That's the whole cinematic experience that modern technology has to offer.
In order to accomplish this mission, you'll need to arm yourself with the appropriate software.
One example of a DVD rip tool is cladDVD .NET (yes, in case you were wondering, this is a .NET application, so fire up the old Visual Studio). It is quite similar to other products in its field, but it's better optimized than some of them.
cladDVD .NET has a pretty standard interface, and it is user-friendly.
In the main menu you select the DVD you want to rip. You can select PGC mode (AVI) or DVD mode (DVDR), view DVD information and title set information, as well as audio information and sub-picture. Once you have selected the destination folder, you're all set to rip.
Features you can use in cladDVD .NET include multi angles, Mastering Errors detection, MacroVision removal, key search, remapping of audio stream, and FrameServe.
cladDVD .NET worked perfectly fine on our computers, and the CPU memory was fairly used. The time it takes to rip a DVD is pretty fast (compared to other software of its kind), but we were hoping to convert to a compressed image, as well as see other useful features.
All in all, cladDVD .NET is a tiny free software that will perform as expected: successfully rip a DVD. Test it for yourself and see if you like it!
