A-one DVD Copy is a very easy to use Windows product developed to create backups of your DVD movies with no fuss.
Especially designed to provide an on-the-go solution aimed at users who don’t want to spend too much time setting up complicated features, A-one DVD Copy comprises what can be very well considered a minimal design.
The interface is surprisingly simple as compared to all the other DVD backup solutions, comprising all options in a single window for a very straightforward approach.
The application thus prompts users to configure input and output parameters straight from the main window, which means that it should all take just a couple of minutes to start the actual backup process.
The backup source can be either a DVD disc or a DVD folder stored on your computer, so A-one DVD Copy asks you to input the path to these files. Additionally, you need to choose the audio track and, if needed, to enable DTS audio, subtitles, movie menu and extras.
As for the output, you can either burn the content to a DVD disc or copy it to a folder, with dedicated fields to write down the path to this folder. You can of course copy the files to a dual-layer disc or compress to single-layer disc.
The backing up process is fast and stable, but we’ve noticed a fairly high usage of CPU and memory resources. On the other hand, it works flawlessly on all Windows versions, without the need for administrator privileges on Windows 7 workstations.
Simply put, A-one DVD Copy is a tool that does its job, but it still needs some improvements to cope with today’s requirements.
