Astroburn Lite

Burning data to a CD isn't such a difficult task with so many dedicated apps out there, but Astroburn Lite is here to bring everything to a whole new level.

Developed to only create data CDs and burn images to discs, Astroburn Lite is not at all difficult to use, but a rather basic program.

The main window groups the essential features, so besides showing the selected files, it also displays free and used space on disk. It gives you the option to choose the burning device and the write speed, with just one more option to verify disc after burning.

The image burning utility supports the most popular formats on the market, including MDS, CCD, CUE, NRG, CDI, ISO, APE and FLAC. Simply select the image file, choose the device and the burning speed and you're done.

There are no other settings to play with, which can only be good news for beginners, but all the essential features to burn discs on the go are still there.

The good thing is that Astroburn Lite runs on low resources and doesn't hamper system performance, working flawlessly on all Windows versions out there.

All things considered, Astroburn Lite is an essential burning tool that lets you create data discs and burn image files to discs. While it doesn't come with support for other disc formats, it does an excellent job and completes a burning task in just a few minutes. It's fast and reliable and doesn't slow down the system at all.
