Disc Writer Pro is a top of the line, professional strength, disc writing application capable of many tasks yet still maintains a design convenient and intuitive enough to be operated by any disc writing or computer novice.

Disc Writer Pro specializes in creating CD and DVD data storage discs and CD Audio discs. Suported media formats are: CDR, CDR/W, DVD+R/W, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-R/W, DVD-RAM and Dual Layer DVD+R (8.5GB).

What makes this application so unique is that it comes armed with a file manager ("Essentials Manager") allowing you to add frequently written files and folders to disc or a compilation within the single click of a button. You also have the option to add AES Encryption to these files and folders before they are written to disc to provide greater security in protecting your files and folders from prying eyes.

Next, Disc Writer Pro is capable of writing CD Audio discs from up to 17 audio formats (AAC, AC3, AIF, AIFF, AU, AVI, CDA, MOV, MP2, MP3, MP4, MP+, MPC, OGG, QT, WAV, WMA ). Though it does not burn these formats to disc on the fly but decodes them to WAV prior to writing, this technique allows for a greater file format support. Even AVI and QuickTime movie files containing audio, can have their audio contents extracted and written to disc. QuickTime must be installed to support MOV (QuickTime) files.

DRP can also copy data discs. A simple CD Copy tool has been built in to allow simple and convenient backups of your data discs. This utility is not capable of backing up DVD movie discs.

Ripping or backing up a CD Audio disc has never been easier. Simply select your track(s) and click "Rip Tracks" or "Write Tracks". You may rip an audio track to WAV, MP3, OGG and WMA all on the fly and collect all current disc information from the CDDB. You must be online to read CDDB information.

DRP is also capable of erasing all supported rewritable media, searching for files and folders with a built-in search tool(fast), playback of many audio formats with the Audio Player, write a disc from an ISO 9660 file, save a compilation to an ISO 9660 file, create boot discs, decrypt and encrypt files and folders using AES separate of the Essential Manager, reading and writing to and from USB and Firefire devices and much more...
