Softpedia Editor's Review for Nero Burning Rom
|
An all-in-one burning software, that enables you to easily write audio, video and data CDs or DVDs
Written by Elena Opris on October 25th, 2011
If you want to burn audio, video, or data files onto CDs or DVs, then Nero is probably your best solution. This burning software suite is one of the leaders in its field, and most computer users have been very happy with it (us included).
Nero 6 is a slightly older version of Nero, but it's still reliable.
The interface is more colorful than Nero has usually familiarized us with, as well as user-friendly.
In the main menu you can directly select the output file, and choose from making an audio CD, MP3 CD, MP3 DVD, WMA CD, WMA DVD, encode audio files, convert audio CDs to Nero Digital Audio or Audio CDs to audio files.
On the left of the window you can select Nero Burning ROM, Express, BackItUp, Cover Designer, Wave Editor, SoundTrax or Image Drive.
Settings can be configured in Nero Toolkit.
Nero Express is a simpler version of Burning ROM, where files can be selected in a simple browser similar to the ones in Windows, and BackItUp allows you to back-up your files in case of any computer system failure.
With Cover Designer you can make your own CD or DVD covers and print them, whereas Wave Editor enable you to edit Wave files (with basic and simple commands).
ImageDrive mounts your image files (e.g. ISO), so that you can access them as if they were loaded on a CD or DVD drive.
Nero 6 is an optimized burning software, so memory resources are used to a minimum.
Of course there are newer versions of Nero you can try, but if you want a simple and reliable burning experience, then you can't go wrong with Nero 6.
