AES Encryption Test 220.127.116.11
As there is no installation involved, you can drop the program files in any part of the hard disk and just click the executable to run, as well as save a copy of AES Encryption Test to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any PC with minimum effort and no previous installers.
An important aspect to take into account is that the Windows registry and Start menu do not get updated with new entries, and no extra files are created on the disk, leaving it clean after removal.
Plain and simple interface
The GUI is clearly outdated but simple to work with. In the main application window you can type or paste text, specify a password to be used for decrypting it, as well as click a button to encrypt the content.
Results are immediately shown in the bottom part of the frame. Apart from the fact that it is possible to easily decrypt text by inputting the encrypted code and key, there are no other notable options available here.
Evaluation and conclusion
No error dialogs were shown in our tests, and the app did not hang or crash. Text is instantly encrypted and decrypted. However, AES Encryption Test clearly has not been updated for a very long time, judging by the interface's aspect.
