ZipX

ZipX is an easy to use application designed to offer users a simple solution for handling and creating archives, while also providing additional features for encrypting files.

The graphical interface is clean and well-organized, comprising a toolbar that you can use to access all its functions. The built-in wizard makes the program even more easy to use, as it can guide you step by step throughout the process of extracting files from an archive, creating a new ZIP (multiple compression methods are supported, including Deflate64, PPMd, BZip2, LZMA or WavPack) or adding files to an existing archive.

One of its main advantages is that it supports a wide range of file formats, such as ZIP, ZIPX, 7Zip, ACE, RAR, TAR, TGZ, ARC and more. Not only that it displays a list of all the files included in an archive (large files, over 4GB are supported as well), but you can delete, rename and sort the files inside it without extracting. The application can be used for splitting and encrypting archives, adding comments or converting ZIPs to SFX format.

With the help of this tool, you can encrypt any file using strong methods (PKZip encryption, password or digital certificate protection) and algorithms (AES, DES, 3DES, RC2, RC4). Also, files can be encoded in UUEnc format, to allow easy transfer over the Internet.

In addition to this, the program can test the archives for errors and generate the file hash codes (MD5, SHA1 and CRC32) to help you check its integrity. Shell integration, drag and drop support, automatic archive fixing, virus scanning, favorites manager, as well as printing and mailing options are other features that the application comes with.
