Alarm Clock is a small Windows application designed specifically for helping you set up alarms with personalized audio notifications.
The advantages of being portable
This is a portable program, so it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry.
You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to configure alarms on the breeze, without having to go through installation steps.
Since this is a Java-based utility, you should make sure you have previously installed the working environment on the computer, otherwise you cannot run the tool.
Plain looks and simple-to-configure features
Alarm Clock sports a clean and simplistic layout that embeds only a few dedicated parameters to tinker with. You can view the time displayed in the main panel, set up an alarm by entering the desired time, turn off the alarm, and activate the snooze function.
What’s more, you are allowed to upload a user-defined audio file (WAV file format) from your computer that is used as a sound notification, as well as switch between two different time viewing modes. Since it doesn’t require much computer knowledge to set up the dedicated parameters, even less experienced users can learn to master the entire process in no time.
What it lacks
On the downside, Alarm Clock doesn’t implement features for helping you enter a custom message that is displayed when the time is up, set up multiple alarms, which can be enabled and disabled, and run a custom program, just to name a few suggestions.
All in all, Alarm Clock proves to be a simplistic piece of software that comes bundled with limited features for helping you set up alarms.
