Replace the system clock, customize clock display settings and the time format, create alarms and timers, control files on file drop, and quickly launch apps. #Modify taskbar clock #Taskbar clock #Alarm clock #Taskbar clock #Clock #Alarm
With the help of T-Clock 3 you can seamlessly personalize the system's taskbar clock, create alarms and timers, control files via mouse commands, as well as launch apps. The tool runs from the system tray and features fairly intuitive configuration properties.
You can save the program files anywhere on the disk or on a USB flash drive to directly launch T-Clock 3 on any computer without any installations. It shouldn't modify any Windows registry settings.
Once launched, it automatically replaces the system clock. Customization options become available through its right-click menu.
It's possible to tinker with clock text font type, color, size and line spacing, along with the clock size, text position and rotation mode.
The time format can be set in any language and you can pick the elements to display while hiding the rest: year (with two or four digits), day, date, month (with one or two digits), hour, minute, second, and Internet time. The time format can be previewed before committing changes, and you can apply a custom format if you're not satisfied with the presets.
A timer can be together by specifying a name and making it count down from a given number of minutes or count up from 0 (like a stopwatch). You can indicate a local media file to play as the sound notification, test the timer, and enable repeat mode. The program lets you create as many timers as you want with distinct properties, as well as to edit their settings later.
Similar options can be defined when creating an alarm. You can set a name and sharp time to go off, make it run once or recurrent (daily or on specific days of the week), point out a local media file to play as alert, and even enable an hourly chime.
You can consult a calendar, access Windows Explorer or Command Prompt, adjust the date and time, bring up the Windows Task Manager, open the Volume Mixer, Audio Properties or Display Properties panels, map and disconnect network drives, show the desktop, as well as immediately log off the computer, power it off, or restart the OS. The application can be asked to run at every system startup until further notice.
When dropping files into the taskbar clock, T-Clock 3 is capable of sending them to the Recycle Bin, opening them with a specific application, or copying / moving them to another location. You can activate the timer or screensaver, show the calendar, or copy time to the Clipboard on single or double click.
The previously described menu with shortcuts to Windows utilities can be customized by hiding any of those tools and by adding new ones (up to 12 entries in total). All you have to do is write a display name and item number, specify the target file name and path, and enter command-line switches to extend functionality, if necessary.
It had minimal impact on computer performance in our tests. Unfortunately, it crashed every time we tried enabling an alarm. However, we must take into account that it hasn't been updated for a while.
Other than that, T-Clock 3 comes loaded with a surprisingly rich set of options to help you not only customize the system clock, but also create alarms and timers, manage files, and quickly launch apps.
