Rino Icons for Docks

macOS has a distinctive taskbar that many users miss when moving to Windows. RocketDock was a very popular application back in the day when emulating a Mac taskbar on Windows was sought after. Rino Icons for Docks is a neat pack of icons that works along RocketDock towards enhancing the macOS looks. The numbers of icons round up to 200, or so, and cover lots of basic and professional applications.

Unzip the archive and access the main directory. A shorter list of folders will be your next focus, and they'll be named after the application they are intended for. Browser, media players, system, programs, office, IMs, and extras are the set of icons made available by this pack. The standard size for the icons is 256 x 256 and the file type is PNG, without exceptions.

Browsing through the images might induce the false impression that there are a lot of duplicates. While there are four identical icons in a set, their background color is what makes the difference. Style is important, and allowing the user to choose a certain theme is always a good thing.

Because this pack is not a never-ending spring of icons, only the mainstream applications are supported. Let's take the media player folder for example, where one can find icons for BSplayer, foobar2000, VLC, Winamp, etc. In the Office directory, shortcuts for MS Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook could not be missing.

Sadly, this icon pack along with the host will become less relevant with time, as there are already some icons for discontinued projects like Yahoo Messenger and Flash player.

RocketDock might be old, but it still has a decent base of users, making Rino Icons for Docks a relevant upgrade. If you are looking for that authentic macOS feel, even if it's for the taskbar only.
