LiquidIcon XP1.0.4 build 2616
LiquidIcon is as very simple yet powerful icon editing program that comprises not only a user-friendly interface, but also a bunch of very handy tools.
Once you launch the application, LiquidIcon lets you open an ICO file stored on the local disks, with all editing features placed in a dedicated toolbox on the right. You can of course choose from multiple colors, while transparency is also supported.
As you edit a loaded icon with any of the items in the toolbox, be they pencils, lines, erasers or squares, a preview panel is also presented in order to help you see modifications in real-time.
There are multiple image manipulation tools as well, so you can rotate or flip icons, but also invert or adjust colors, set up transparency or add a series of effects that include buttonize and capture.
Unfortunately for those who may need additional information on a specific built-in feature, there’s no help section available, but more documentation can be found online. Still, the program is so user-friendly that chances are you don’t need a help manual at all.
Another good thing about LiquidIcon is that it’s fully portable, so you can easily copy the executable file on a removable drive and use it on the go, without the need for prior installation.
All in all, LiquidIcon is a Windows freebie that can easily address your icon editing needs, offering a very user friendly features and a pretty pleasant interface. It works like a charm on all Windows versions and doesn’t hamper system performance at all.
