Drive Icon Changer is a neat software application that allows you to replace the default Windows icons for drives with custom ones.
This feature is good for anyone wishing to replace their UI with something custom made. This operation does not affect system performance or registries in any way that may lead to data loss.
A neat feature of this app is that it can be used on a system that ahs directories named from A to Z, so it doesn't matter if you have the standard 2 directories or 25, this app can help.
Changes can be reset at any time so that you make sure you used the proper image for each directory, and if you need to clear the icon cache, you will have to perform a full system reboot.
The program currently only supports images that are in ICO format. All you have to do is browse for the file, then specify its location inside the app.
Drive Icon Changer is not able to perform this for external drives, Flash / USB sticks or memory cards.
While testing it was observed that during the setup process, you may encounter errors when choosing the install directory. This can vbe averted by simply changing the default instalation directory.
