BackFlip is a program which automatically gets wallpaper images not only from hard drive, any removable drive, CD-ROM or local network using any available network resource, but even from Internet, just adding the link to a wallpaper site to BackFlip. It will take image from it automatically. Downloaded images can be optionally cached on your hard drive in order to be loaded faster the next time.

This program is created to cycle your wallpaper on desktop on any interval you choose, from once a second to once a year. You can also change wallpaper to the next in the list by just clicking on the icon in tray.

BackFlip supports four wallpaper display modes (center, tile, stretch proportionally, stretch to fit desktop) and because it has advanced tile mode features, you can set number of tiles vertically and horizontally.

There are six effects automatically aplicable to image: autocontrast, grayscale, negative, emboss, blur and sharpen. The ability to apply effect to image before making it a wallpaper is a unique BackFlip feature: autocontract automatically fixes image contrast, grayscale converts image to grayscale palette, negative makes a kind of photo negative of an image, blur and sharpen changes image sharpness. This tool also has 26 image formats supported (.gif, .jpeg, .psd, .emf, .wmf, etc).
