Desktop Wallpaper Tool description
Desktop Wallpaper Tool - The simple way to customize your multi-monitor desktop wallpaper!
Desktop Wallpaper Tool is the simple way to customize your multi-monitor desktop wallpaper! As desktop sizes increase with multiple monitor systems, the Desktop Wallpaper Tool can be used to configure the background wallpaper to show any combination of images, resized, cropped and tiled to your specification.
Desktop Wallpaper Tool can be used in two different modes, either run once (static mode) to generate a static desktop wallpaper image file which is saved to your hard drive and used as a normal desktop image, or continuously (dynamic mode) where the tool resides in your system tray, constantly refreshing your desktop image with images automatically
downloaded from the internet.
To operate in static update mode, simply run the Desktop Wallpaper Tool. Specify the size of your desktop (i.e. for dual 1280x1024 monitors placed side by side you would enter 2560x1024). Then select the images to display and how you want them to be displayed. The desktop image will be saved to your computer and can be applied as your Windows background. The crop and resize tool is especially handy for resizing high resolution images (some excellent ones can be found here) to fit your non-standard multi-monitor desktops.
Dynamic mode lets you mix and match static images from you hard drive with continuously downloaded images grabbed from online webcams. The basic operation is similar to the Static mode, however, the images are specified by URL's rather than file paths, and an update rate must be specified (i.e. if the webcam only updates every 5 minutes you would specify a 300 second update rate).
