Hide Window Plus

Working with multiple applications at the same time means having many windows opened. Unless you're really organized, it soon becomes troublesome to get each window out of the way just to be able to reach a shortcut on the desktop.

However, things are simplified with the help of Hide Windows Plus. It's a practical and easy-to-use program designed to quickly hide single windows or group of windows by just triggering a specific key combination. It's full of customization settings.

Following a speedy setup operation that shouldn't give you any trouble, the tool gets integrated into the systray at startup, providing immediate access to its main window and configuration options.

The main app window has a clean and intuitive layout, where the central features are split into four areas, for configuring settings related to groups of windows and single windows, as well as for making general changes to the program and accessing additional tools.

In single window mode, it's only necessary to set a hotkey for hiding the active window and for showing the last hidden window. The combination can be made out of two, three or four keys (e.g. Alt + 1 or Ctrl + Alt + Shift + 1).

The windows can also be hidden by right-clicking the close button. Thanks to Hide Windows Plus, it's possible to hide the tray icons, mute sound when a window is hidden, and prevent hidden applications from showing up on the screen.

Up to ten groups can be created, each with distinct shortcuts and preferred settings (hide, prevent, mute). Any number of windows can be added to a group, whether its corresponding process is currently running or you have to look for it on the hard drive.

As far as additional tools are concerned, it's possible to set other key combinations for running the screensaver, turning off the monitor, muting sound, minimizing the current window, terminating and showing hidden programs. The entire configuration can be protected with a password, in order to prevent other people with access to your PC from changing it.
