Free Sticky Notes 6.3
Easy-to-use software application which enables you to add sticky notes to your desktop, as well as create reminders and read text out loud
The main window is a manager and it is comprised of a detailed list of all the notes created and several buttons that let you show, hide, delete or print them, as well as add new ones, create alarms and refresh the screen. Some of the information included in the aforementioned list pertains to title, date, priority and state.
Each sticky note is highly customizable, seeing that you can configure the font style, size and color, transparency level, frame size and priority. It is possible to access paragraph settings such as line spacing, alignment and bullets, as well as change the background color or upload an image (JPG, ICO, BMP). You can write directly in the window or import text from a TXT or RTF file. Moreover, you can save the contents to TXT, RTF, JPG and BMP formats.
This software utility features a text-to-speech tool which is enabled by a button present in the sticky note window. Aside from that, the app also integrates a reminder, which can be repeated every day of the week and at user-inputted times. It is possible to set up the app to pop up, flash, read or beep when the alarm starts, as well as shut down the computer, open a URL or a specified program, or play an audio file from the HDD.
To conclude, Free Sticky Notes is a piece of software that proves to be useful when it comes to creating reminders on the desktop. It goes in the system tray, making it non-obtrusive and response time is good.
