Screen Calendar is an application designed to enhance the screen activity by displaying a calendar on your desktop.
Once you run the program, you are welcomed by the configuration window which can help you set up different options. The app provides multiple skins to choose from, and it is also possible to change the language for both the calendar and program.
You can make Screen Calendar launch at Windows startup and select from two different sizes, namely small or full desktop calendar. The first option allows users to place a small calendar on any part of the desktop, and you may specify the margins by typing in the values in the dedicated dialogs (left, right, top, bottom). The second mode displays a calendar on the entire screen.
There are several customization options when it comes to changing the looks of the calendar, as you can select the orientation of the week (horizontally or vertically), weekdays titles (full, brief or the first character), and month’s appearance (one or two weeks).
Screen Calendar also features a built-in day scheduler which allows you to add personal notes for each day by specifying the subject and start and end hour, and by typing in the message in the dedicated dialog. Reminders can be added for each task, and you can make the program play a sound notification, show a message, or run an application. It is possible to select an audio file with the following formats: WAV or MP3, or pick an application with EXE or COM format.
Moreover, the program offers users the possibility to save the background image to BMP or JPEG, as well as print the current desktop image or the calendar for the selected month.
You can personalize the calendar’s appearance by selecting a background image with the following file formats: PNG, JPG, JPEG and BMP.
All in all, Screen Calendar can be considered a decent tool which packs many useful options for helping you apply a user-defined calendar on your desktop.
