The Talking Moose is an application designed to annoy your friends or to avoid boredom while working on the computer. The program's interface is a small popup window that features a moose head that speaks.

It can be configured to tell jokes, to give advice or to insult the computer user although the latter is not recommended. The program includes greetings, goodbye phrases and a set of random phrases that can be edited or modified.

You can also add your own text phrases in order to customize the messages that you hear. The program can sense when you open the My Computer or Control Panel windows and announce the window name.

Sometimes it can be difficult to grasp the meaning of the phrase since the voice lacks any enunciation. The program uses the voices provided by Microsoft in order to play the text messages and you need to customize the pitch or the speed in order to understand them.

You can change the animation for the talking moose window that appears periodically on the desktop. If you have a high resolution display you should select a bigger animation and change the screen position in order to fit your needs. Unfortunately, you can only place it on the corners of the desktop.

A useful feature is the ability to read the content of a webpage by simply entering the website URL. You can even select the items from the webpage that you want to read. If you need to know the content of your clipboard the program can speak it with just one click.

This application can be a good companion for the users that spend a lot of time in front of the computer. It is easy to use and provides the customization options required to adapt it to any type of usage.
