WinNumpad Position

Multitaskers often have multiple opened windows on their desktop to easily juggle various tasks using Alt+Tab. If you're looking to boost your productivity by quickly arranging active windows to the grid and without the help of the mouse, you can resort to WinNumpad Position.

This is a portable application that gives you the possibility to move the active window to the left margin, right margin, upper left, upper right, lower left, lower right or center of the screen using the Win key and numpad keys. It can also resize windows just as effortlessly.

It doesn't need to be installed and doesn't have any software requirements. You can keep it saved in a directory of portable software and fire it up whenever you want to arrange windows.

It creates an entry in the system tray and silently runs in the background without showing any messages to interrupt your typical activity.

To move a window, select it, hold down the Win key and press the numpad key that corresponds with the preferred desktop position. For example, Win + Number Pad 7 places the window on the top-left corner.

If you keep pressing the same numpad key while holding down Win, you will resize the window to another dimension; there are five dimensions you can cycle through.

Too bad that WinNumpad Position doesn't have features for letting you set custom dimensions for window resizing. There is no help file included in the downloaded package, so the only way of finding out how the application works is by looking it up online.

Nevertheless, WinNumpad Position can be of great service to users who frequently have to work with multiple opened windows. It's free, portable and easy to use.
