If changing the way Windows looks is the thing that keeps you busy these days, trying MyColors, a software solution designed to help you tweak the appearance of your OS, is not such a bad ides.

MyColors works even on Windows 7, bringing you not only the power to change the theme completely, but also add new wallpapers and apply even more modifications.

Using this tool is not too difficult a task because it boasts a user-friendly interface that has all the main features neatly organized in tabs, so you shouldn't get in any trouble while using it.

There is a single theme included in the standard package, but you can easily find more online, comprising not only new visual styles, but also wallpapers, sidebar gadgets and new icons.

A pretty handy feature is the option to switch back to the regular Windows look with a single click, because MyColors also comprises the factory-installed settings, which means it's no problem if you get bored with the new themes.

There are only a few settings available, including ClearType fonts and a dedicated option to use Aero window frames but keep the rest of the skin, so configuration is quite limited.

We haven't noticed a significant slowdown in speed while using MyColors, but on older machines the application is prone to hamper computer performance a little bit.

All in all, MyColors is a nice utility that can prove quite valuable even if it doesn't bring too many innovative features. The operating system will surely look nicer with this app installed, so it's definitely worth a try.
