Cucusoft iPod Video Converter + DVD to iPod Suite is a pack that comes bundled with tools that are necessary for encoding video files of various formats (including AVI, MOV and DVD) to other extensions, such as MP4.
The programs have user-friendly interfaces in which you can import media by using the file browser or the "drag and drop" method. Batch conversion is supported.
So, you can select the output profile and destination, and initiate the encoding process.
In addition, you can preview the video, check out DVD information (e.g. title, chapter, frame rate) and configure settings when it comes to cropping, resizing, video encoder, bit rate and frame rate, audio sample frequency rate and channels, and more. But all these features are only available for DVD conversion.
Furthermore, you can set Cucusoft iPod Video Converter to auto start conversion after the main movie has been found, auto play the main movie after the DVD menu has been found, and more.
The apps use a massive amount of system resources and take a long time to complete a task. Also, the trial version displays a watermark on the output videos.
The image and sound quality in the output videos is very good. However, Cucusoft DVD to iPod comes with very limited options. You cannot even configure audio and video settings, let alone modify program options.
All in all, the suite comes packed with the necessary and suffice elements for video conversion, but it doesn't offer anything extra. Nevertheless, we recommend it to users who are looking for a straightforward application.
