    MOZiE 0.9 Beta description

Compare page rendering in Mozilla and Internet Explorer at one time

MOZiE is an extremely light-weight, free Windows application that allows web designers the ability to compare page rendering in Mozilla and Internet Explorer simultaneously.

MOZiE also contains other useful features such as: various screen-size emulations, the ability to launch active pages in external browsers (such as Opera) directly from the interface as well as IE 5 & 5.5 standalone support.

MOZiE is (unfortunately) available only to Windows users running IE5+. Users must either register the Mozilla ActiveX control (if Mozilla 1.5+ is already installed) by simply opening the command prompt, going to the folder containing "mozctlx.dll" and typing "regsvr32 mozctlx.dll" or by downloading the Mozilla Control Installer by Adam Locke.

MOZiE is very similar to Comparator, but does not require the .NET framework to be installed; therefore, it is very lightweight.

It requires that the Mozilla ActiveX control be registered or downloaded. It has a number of features not found in Comparator such as screen resolution emulation, alternate browser launching, and is fully customizable.

    NOTE

Using MOZiE: mozie.zip must be unzipped to a new folder before use. There is no installation required, simply launch the mozie.hta file. Users must either register the Mozilla ActiveX control (if Mozilla 1.5+ is already installed) by simply opening a DOS command prompt, going to the folder containing "mozctlx.dll" and typing "regsvr32 mozctlx.dll" or by downloading the Mozilla Control Installer by Adam Lock: http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/control.htm#download The "IE5.5 Snapshot" feature requires a system running IE6 with the IE5.5 standalone package available at: http://www.skyzyx.com/archives/000094.php
