As many instant-messaging applications out there, AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) benefits from a plethora of software exclusively created for the sole purpose of ad-removal. DeadAIM is one of them and while its development has been halted, the latest version, as its creator claims, is completely compatible with AIM 4.8 and 5.
