While there are numerous ways you can transfer files fast nowadays, most of the time you either need an Internet connection or to ensure your files don’t exceed a certain size. Feem is a local file transfer application that bypasses these limitations and offers a range of features for efficient and secure data sharing within your network.

The app includes a desktop edition, but it’s recommended that you use the MS Store app for now, as it’s being regularly updated. If you prefer not to install the app on all their devices, the platform offers Feem WebShare.

The interface is user-friendly and, as you probably hinted, you can get started, by connecting the devices used for the transfers. The app works offline, but it still requires that the devices share the same wireless network. It operates by pushing files from the source device to the destination device, prioritizing security by avoiding any exposure of the entire file system and not using online servers.

Take note that the app assigns random names to devices for identification, and you can solely customize them in the Pro edition. File transfers are initiated by selecting the recipient's name, choosing files, and monitoring the progress until completion. The receiving device automatically saves files to specific folders based on content.

From the start, you don’t have to worry about security as much, as the app works offline and bypasses the cloud, and hence, eliminates the risk associated with external servers. All local transfers are encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security), offering a level of security comparable to that used in secure online connections.
