The market is so full of download managers that less popular software solutions have close to zero chances to make a name for themselves and attract an important share of users.
Such is the case of ReGet Deluxe, a what seems to be advanced application that comprises an impressive lineup of features along with multiple interface modes to target virtually all types of users.
ReGet Deluxe doesn't support themes, but instead it comes with various schemes to change the interface color and thus make it easier to use without affecting computer performance.
As for the features, ReGet Deluxe is, as we said, quite impressive, at least on paper.
It has everything you'd expect from a download manager, including browser integration, a tiny floating window to control the app on the go, bandwidth restrictions to control the speed of the incoming files, FTP, HTTP and HTTPS support and many others.
Additionally, it features a built-in FTP explorer so browsing FTP servers and choosing the files you wish to download can be done exclusively from within the app.
All files that will land on your computer will be scanned by the antivirus system automatically, so ReGet Deluxe also adds an extra layer of security to the machine.
Developers claim ReGet Deluxe is faster too because it splits the incoming file into multiple pieces and downloads all of them at the same time. But, to be honest, we didn't notice any major speed boosts, but instead we experienced some minor computer slowdowns when downloading files at high speeds.
If we were to choose something really good about ReGet Deluxe, we would go for the interface and the overall bundle of tools. At the opposing pole, the price and the lack of some important features, such as clipboard monitoring, might make some users stop using it.
All things considered, ReGet Deluxe deserves a chance, but since there are so many tools out there doing the same thing for free, chances are that you won't use it more than a day.
