Preset profiles are also integrated for helping you directly convert videos to formats compatible with iPod, iPhone, PSP, Zune, or mobile devices. You may also keep the original format of the video (FLV file format).

The application helps you convert any FLV video that is stored on your computer so it does not work exclusively with the downloaded clips. You may specify the saving directory, cut the videos by specifying the start and end points, and get information about each clip, such as duration and bitrate.

YouTube Downloader Free is not a resource hog so you do not have to worry that it eats up CPU and memory resources. However, it failed repeatedly in our tests to download clips due to errors. It kept treating YouTube links as invalid. Conversion tasks were not carried out successfully.

YouTube Downloader Free has to offer nothing more than simple features for grabbing YouTube videos and saving them to your computer. However, it needs functionality improvements in order to enhance the downloading and conversion process.
