No server needed: SYNCING.NET for Outlook does not require Microsoft Exchange or any other groupware server. All computers are directly connected. There are no additional costs for hardware, software, or administration.
Via internet: All data is transmitted directly between computers via a network or the internet in a peer-to-peer fashion. All that is required is an Internet connection. No VPN, router or proxy configuration is needed. It works even if two computers cannot directly connect because they are behind a NAT or firewall.
Completely automatic: Once you have selected the Outlook data to be synchronized, you don't need to do anything � you can use Outlook as usual. Any changes to your Outlook items will be transferred immediately to all connected computers.
Work offline: Work from anywhere, even offline. All data is stored locally and is always accessible. After offline sessions, you don't need to do anything. All changes are processed and transferred automatically. Requirements:
· 500 MHz pentium class processor
· 128 MB RAM
· 20 MB free space on your hard drive
· Microsoft Outlook 2000 or higher
· Microsoft .NET Framework
· A peer-to-peer service (FolderShare or Groove Virtual Office)
· For internet synchronization or if using FolderShare: any broadband connection or minimum 33.6 kbps dial-up for Internet access.
