Hightail Express (formerly YouSendIt Express)

Hightail Express provides you with a reliable method to send large files to your team members, colleagues, friends, and acquaintances, taking file sharing to a whole other level. With support for files of up to 2GB, this application can overcome the limitations imposed by standard email services for file attachments.

An account is required in order to make the application work properly. Once logged in, you can browse your received and sent items and configure the application's behavior.

The main window is very intuitive, allowing the fast access to all the folders. Its look resembles that of a mail client, with an inbox and outbox, as well as a section dedicated to viewing a list of sent items.

Composing a new e-mail requires you to enter the destination e-mail addresses, along with the mail subject, the actual message and the attached files and folders.

Optionally, the application can verify the identity of a recipient before sending the message, and you can add multiple addresses, separated by semicolons.

The “Inbox” folder includes a list of all the messages you received, along with the attached files you downloaded. Messages can be forwarded to another e-mail address or deleted from the list with just a click.

Depending on the file size, the upload process might take more or less time to complete. Nevertheless, you can carry on with your work and set Hightail Express to notify you when the process is finished, so that you can proceed to send the message.

Last but not least, this utility enables you to protect and hide your identity from others while connecting to the Internet, by inputting a proxy server.

Hightail Express combines ease of use with advanced functionality, offering a secure and efficient way to share large files with others and allowing you to attach any file to a message, regardless of its size. The computer’s performance is not going to be affected dramatically and jobs are completed in a fairly manner.
