BitTornado is one of the applications that perfectly demonstrate how the BitTorrent frenzy has started a few years ago. And that not because it’s such a great app that was improved on a regular basis, but due to the fact that it still has the basic features that only the first such tools had at that time.
BitTornado is an old BitTorrent client that can help you download anything you like using this file sharing protocol, thus benefiting from great download speeds.
However, there’s nothing amazing at BitTornado, as the developer has abandoned the project some time ago, so you will surely be disappointed when trying it.
The interface is minimal and you can’t do anything else but download files. One at a time, that is. There is no help menu, no advanced settings to let you customize the app, nothing too fancy and nothing too complicated.
Of course, since it’s outdated, BitTornado is not a top-notch software solution when it comes to speed, but the real problem is that most of the trackers aren’t supporting it anymore, so you’ll have to look somewhere else.
All in all, BitTornado is just a great tool to keep history alive, but nobody in the world should still use it since there are so powerful alternatives out there. Not even on slower computers…
