When you want to share a file with another user, the most convenient way is to attach it to an email message and send it - however, all email clients have restrictions regarding the size of their attachments, so you cannot send large files via email. And this is where Droplr can come in handy, as it enables you to share all files, regardless of their size.
It needs to be mentioned from the beginning that you need to create an online Droplr account so as to be able to use the utility.
The application integrates within the context menu of Windows Explorer so you can simply right-click a file and upload it to your Droplr account with ease. Alternatively, you can drag and drop an item over the dedicated drop zone created by the software solution; you can drop a wide range of files, be they audio tracks, videos, office documents, images and many others, and you can select one or several items at the same time.
Once the uploading process is complete, Droplr generates a short URL that you can send to other users via email, chat or SMS, whichever suits you best.
Furthermore, you can also create notes or capture desktop snapshots without needing to open third-party apps, and you can also upload the contents of your clipboard with a single mouse click.
After the files have been downloaded by the target users, you can easily remove them from Droplr to avoid getting too many documents and ending up with a crowded account.
All in all, Droplr can be used whenever you want to quickly share many large files with your buddies and email simply won’t do - however, you will need to purchase a license if you want to enjoy the app’s functions beyond the evaluation period.
