Peek-a-tab

If your workflow demands it, or you're simply the type of user who likes working with dozens of stacked tabs while using Google Chrome, then you surely know just how cumbersome and annoying properly managing them can be.

Meet Peek-a-tab, a tiny and highly useful Chrome extension that offers you a more straightforward way of managing tabs, by allowing you to preview and switch between them.

We'll start off with what is probably the best thing about this extension, namely, the fact that it is perfectly aimed at both keyboard- and mouse-savvy users out there.

The first category can activate the extension's undocked, separate UI by clicking its icon, from Chrome's toolbar, and be doing the same for selecting any desired tab.

As mentioned before, Peek-a-tab is just as pleasant to use by only relying on your computer's keyboard. Hit the ALT + SPACE combo and, you'll be met by the aforementioned UI. From this point onwards, you can use the arrow keys to select the tab, Enter to activate it or Delete and Backspace in order to close it.

At this point, it's quite clear that we have a very compelling extension on our hands, but there's something more. By now, you should have noticed a button on the upper right side of the extension's UI. Click it, and you are presented with a set of three, self-explanatory and useful options which will make your experience with this Peek-a-tab even better.
