Tabbie for Chrome

A great deal of work is performed online nowadays, so your web browser pretty much defines your work style. Sure enough most respectable ones come with history trackers and bookmarks manager, but it’s difficult to access an entire previous session. Luckily, you can rely on Tabbie for Chrome to save active tabs in groups.

First of all, Tabbie for Chrome is not a stand-alone application, so you need to be using Google Chrome as your default browser to fully benefit from what the little tool has to offer. It easily integrates, without having to restart Chrome. Its icon appears in the upper toolbar, next to the URL field.

The core purpose of this browser extension is to add a bit more option when it comes to working with multiple pages. Instead of saving pages one-by-one as bookmarks in various folders, or attempting to search for pages of interest in history, Tabbie for Chrome lets you save all active tabs to a group, which can be accessed at any given moment.

Custom groups need to be created and are visible in the program panel. You can access groups in order to view saved items, and remove the ones you don’t need. Sadly, you can’t access a single page by clicking it in the group. Tabs can also be removed altogether.

There are a couple of modes to save tabs. On the one hand, you can simply save all opened tabs, but only those in the active window are targeted. On the other hand, you can use the CTRL key to select particular tabs, but the selection option must first be enabled through the program panel. Don’t worry if the panel closes on selection. Tabs which don’t get saved are grayed out so you can easily tell.

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Tabbie for Chrome is a cool addition to the already comfortable Google Chrome experience. It allows easy saving of all or selected tabs, which makes it perfect for late Fridays when you need to leave work, but want to save your session to resume on Monday.
