Interclue is a reliable Firefox extension that will provide link summaries and information before you click on it.
Small icons appear when you mouse over links to warn you about dead links, Malware or Phishing Sites, etc, and for any valid link, Interclue provides a compact link preview along with optional extra information and next action buttons.
Interclue also adds inline clues on search result pages from Google, Yahoo and Bing, including keyword tags from Delicious and Search Refinements from Surf Canyon.
Surf Canyon supports the further development of Interclue. Inline clues are trivially disabled using the [x] next to the feature, or in the extensive Interclue options panel.

· Shows titles & main body text from linked HTML pages
· Shows size and date information for other filetypes
· Shows you the favicon of any link if available, on mouseover. Also has icons for 28 different filetypes.
· Checks for dead links and other errors.

· Shows thumbnails for some URLs, showing you a small image of the site.
· Lets you submit link (and any selected text) to del.icio.us or Google Bookmarks (more coming)
· Lets you email the link and contents to anyone using your own email program (not proxied)
· Shows you the Digg count and allows you to Digg the link.
· Shows you the post count and tagcloud for the link from del.icio.us
