Easy to install, immediately ready-to-use
This piece of software is easy to install, straight from Firefox. Simply go to Add-ons from the Tools menu and search for it there, or click on the download link to the right, which will kick off the installation process, if you are already using Mozilla's browser. Keep in mind that you need to restart Firefox in order to enable the extension.
As soon as the installation process has been completed, ScrapBook is ready-to-use. You can take advantage of its features either from the additional menu that it adds in the browser's Menu bar, or from the contextual menu that appears when right-clicking on a Web page.
Easily manage saved Web pages and sites
With this tool, you can either save entire web pages on your computer, or only snippets of pages, provided that you are interested only in specific content displayed there. However, the application also allows you to save entire Web sites.
When saving a page, you can choose to download linked files on it, such as images, audio and video files, archives, and other items. You can also select the depth at which links should be followed when saving content.
The software allows you to easily manage any of your saved web pages or web sites, the same as you would do with bookmarks. Content is organized in folders, and you can easily move items from one folder to another.
ScrapBook comes with a search option that can prove very helpful when you have a large collection of pages and you want to find a specific item fast. The browser extension includes text/HTML edit capabilities as well.
