URL Shortener is a Firefox extension that can be used to make long links and URL's shorter and easier.

for instance, this long link:

has been converted to this short link:

http://geobay.com/59683a

This can be really useful for pasting in emails or forums where long links tend to break or ruin the formatting of the page
